My name is Rhiannon Rose Moore, but most people know me as Rio. I'm based in Scotland and create work inspired by mythology and the natural world.

Art and appreciation of it in all its various guises has always been a part of my family experience; my grandfather on my father's side was a portrait painter, my mother was a potter. This varied approach led me to do a degree in Illustration at Brighton University.
In Scotland I trained as a tattoo artist and have studied traditional painting techniques (egg tempera).
I utilise all these influences within my work, it has been a gradual journey and I am still discovering as I go along.
I like to create bespoke pieces for my clients, and would describe my work as Magical Realism.
I live in Scotland with my two boys and lots of books.
