I love combining and utilising my full range of creative skills across illustration, painting and especially sculpture.

Here are some inspiring sculpture based projects I've enjoyed working on over the last year or so.

COP 26 CLIMATE SUMMIT

In 2021 I was commissioned by Dundee City Council to make a 10ft whale out of recycled material for COP26.

SCULPTURE TRAILS

I have created sculptures for various art trails around Scotland including: Oor Bowie 2016, Peacock Penguin 2018, Oor Freddie 2019 Woodland Spirit 2019 and Brave Wee Boy 2019.

In 2022 I was asked to create a Wildlife Warrior for the Giraffe About Town trail in Edinburgh. The elements included in the design were created in collaboration with the staff of Highland Wildlife Park to emphasise and celebrate the interconnectedness of life and raise awareness of these important issues. Wildlife Warrior was located in Edinburgh Waverley Station.

ONCE A TREE

For ‘Once a Tree’ Commissioned in 2022 by UNESCO, I was inspired by the papier-mâché dome at Mills Observatory as a way of utilising recycled materials; the majority of which actually were once a tree.

I like the notion that it’s come full circle and is a reminder of how much paper and card gets used at this time of year.
